The Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce and Phoenix Mart, have entered into an exciting partnership with “Market on the Move,” a project of The 3000 Club, a service/charitable organization to offer up to 60 pounds of fresh produce to the public for a donation of $10.00 per person.
For the FIRST time ever, "Market on the Move" will be in Casa Grande on three separate dates this spring at the Outlets at Casa Grande (HomeCenter Factory Direct).
The first “Market on the Move” will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 7:00 am to 10:00 am at the Outlets at Casa Grande (HomeCenter Factory Direct), at Jimmie Kerr Blvd. and I-10 Exit 198. There is no need to pre-register or pre-donate online. Donations ($10 per person) can be made that day on-site at the “Market on the Move.”
The 3000 Club for “Market on the Move” provides 23 million nutritious meals of fresh fruits and vegetables and serves more than 480,000 families in need. The 3000 Club has developed relationships with produce brokers in Nogales and Phoenix, rescuing 30 million pounds of excess fresh fruits and vegetables.
The other two “Market on the Move” programs scheduled for this spring will be held Saturday, April 26 from 7:00 am to 10:00 am and Saturday, May 31 from 7:00 am to 10:00 am. Both will be held at the Outlets at Casa Grande (HomeCenter Factory Direct).
